A different book,
and a short one

You've read the advice. Skip the coffee. Start a budget. Here's a compound interest chart that assumes you begin with $10,000 and never lose a job.

This one runs about 30 pages of actual writing. No filler, no system, no stock picks – just the order you do things in, and why.

What's inside

Who it's for

Read this if

You're in your 20s with income – whether that's $400 a month or $80,000 sitting in checking.

The first half works for everybody. The second half is honest about who it isn't for.

Skip it if

You're looking for a stock pick, a system, or a promise.

None of those are in here, and pretending otherwise would waste your $6.99.

About the author

Eric Clymer started out as an administrative assistant – after graduating as an Emory Scholar with no idea what he wanted to do. Photocopies and mail merges were not a life, so he took a shot at a pricing analyst job at Deloitte. He taught himself the work, and within a few years was promoted to financial analyst and advisor to the C-suite, price-modeling eight-figure deals. Those skills transferred straight to public markets, so in 2008 he left to found Gatsby Capital, a long/short equity and machine-learning hedge fund. He held a Series 65 and was a Registered Investment Advisor, and has invested his family office's money since.
